Yeah that's me |
This is Kyle's work in progress page that shows how his minecraft world is developing, you can expect to see some screenshots and tours of his creations. As well as some tutorials on how to make the tools and constructions that he will end up making. We hope you look forward to it as much as we are.
Day Ten
Today I simply went exploring around my new snowy realm and found an abandoned mineshaft system with a lot of wood, fences and minecart tracks. But I also found two or three packed dungeons absolutely overrun with cave spiders, these are the very dangerous ones tat will take away 5 HP every hit from poison, so I had to keep my distance. I ended up desperately escaping as fast as I could so no picture as of yet, I'll get it another time, maybe if I decide to expand the system and out some golems in there to keep me company seeing as an Iron Golem is the second strongest NPC in the game behind the Ender Dragon dealing 3-10 HP with each hit. Just wait and see.
Front View showing outside town |
Well this wasn't really one day it was about three but I am making it one post. It shows how I went South and found a very snowy flatland which I decided would be perfect for a large city, and castle. And so started my development of what is now 'Kalendra'

As well as a blacksmith and a farm outside the castle ( soon to be a prison/mine and other facilites) the Castle itself has a lot of things inside it, so it can survive a siege for a very long time, it is nearly self-sustainable. the next section is simply some pictures of it, read the captions.

Day Five
Well today I decided -after a long mining expedition in which I found a tonne of materials I went West along the coast and built my self a n outpost to sleep and resupply in. As well as a cataclysmically huge tower as a beacon to it's whereabouts jutting out of the sea and it is so obvious it is like a carrot in a pancake. As you can see -->
I
t's pretty good, non-automatic doors so Mobs cannot get in and a reinforced stone bricks make the outer walls, it has all the basic needs, a stove and a work bench and a supply chest, amongst some other things, however my favourite thing about this house is the fact that you can turn the lights on and off with some particularly discreet redstone wiring

Day Four
Outside with pressure plate |
So now I have my farm, my house, my mini castle/chapel my huge watchtower (with a flame beacon at the top using netherreack from the nether world which means if it is on fire it will never burn out unless covered in water or by a block. So it's easier to see. I have my mine and my dock. So I think it is time to expand my reach so I head East towards the desert where I make a safe house with all the neccessary commodities and everything I

would need to survive. But the best thing about it ( using some lethally complicated underground redstone wiring I also managed to make the reinforced iron front door open via pressure plate and have a manual lock system which deactivate and reactivate the pressure plates at the flick of a switch inside the house. you can also see I discovered some diamonds so I made a sword and pickaxe for my own use.
And purely as a precautionary measure ( as I had already realised it is incredibly easy to get lost in the desert especially when you are also mining ) I stuck a big fat flame beacon on a hill to show I was close to one of my structures. Y'uh know it always helps to be careful and know were you are rather than getting utterly lost and picking a fight with an Enderman just to get me back to one's house... like I did.

Day Three
Well today I felt I should make a very large structure that could house some large items and a portal if I needed one, so, that's what I did. I also thought it should be very secure and make it so no enemies who were jealous of my shiny things to could come and forcefully take them from me.

It has Iron Doors which can only be opened and closed from the inside using a switch. It has a ground floor, middle floor and sky viewing top floor. As well as a portal to the nether made from some lovely obsidian I made in my mine.
Day Two
Well for day two I decided that I should make a tall structure so I will be able to see whereabouts my house is in case I decide to do the clever thing and get lost. So I made this big fat tower.

Furthermore I decided that it would be worth going after some more valuable resources than just stone and wood so I ventured into my mine and found many desirable resources without the unwanted attention of half a dozen creepers. Sounds good to me.
A starter game like most |
For me I am just using the normal Minecraft game without any patches so my games may end up have less interesting things in as james, like Nuclear reactors. But I don't care.
So after trekking slightly I found a nice spot next to the beach with a small cave and a wood. And I settled down and found a resource of coal and food to survive my first night. After the first night I made a stab at tackling the cave. It was huge and I got enough cobblestone to create my first secure home.

I also trapped some animals and planted some crops to make sure I did not run out of food. My house is secure and full of useful things for me to use.
So overall I am pretty settled on Minecraft for my first day or two.
